Staff Training and Quality Standards for The Glasgow Cleaners

Just as we have already described in our cleaning quality standards management page we believe that staff training is one of the most important elements in providing a high quality level of commercial cleaning in Glasgow through the Glasgow Cleaners.

Too many cleaning companies (and that is not just in Glasgow) have no organised cleaning programme.  I have spoken with Cleaners coming to work for us who were not even shown the fire evacuation routes or what to do if there was another emergency situation. I would not feel safe if my cleaning company team were coming into my offices and not even provided with even this basic induction staff training. Are you sure your current cleaning company has provided them with this legally required training? Ask to see their staff training induction sign off sheets. The Glasgow Cleaners always have full staff training records for every job.

Staff employed by the Glasgow Cleaners are always given this as part of their first day training. Also if they move to a different premises this induction will be carried out again.

>Not all premises have the same type of flooring! Not all premises have the same type of wear and tear! Not all Flooring has the same type of cleaning needs due to the type of usage it gets so the style of cleaning may need to be adjusted.

I have been into premises where a unsealed wooden floor was being washed with a mop and bucket. The Cleaner obviously had never been shown how to mop properly as he was using far too much water but worse still I could see the floor had never been sealed so the water was soaking straight into the wood and would over a period of time do it permanent damage.
